If your stay with GHIH is planned ahead by your specialist, he or she will note down in “Patient Booklet” during your consultation (or) will call to let us know you are coming. GHIH Inpatient Reception (Ground floor, in front of London Clinic) is the first place to serve you 24 hours 7 days a week. The registration process will take around 30 minutes to complete (excluding your choice of room type) and our Medical Officer will thoroughly access your health for admission.

GHIH Emergency Department (Ground floor) is composed of team members who are medical expertise for emergencies to care your sudden, urgent or unexpected occurrences that require immediate medical attention with state of the art equipments. Upon arrival, patients will be registered, screened and triaged to the respective consultation areas. Our In-house specialists ready to attend and over 300 of visiting specialists within your reach are our added advantages.

Patients scheduled for Surgery, Daycare, ESWL (Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy), Oncology infusion, Coronary Intervention, Radiology Intervention, Diagnostic procedure (e.g. endoscopy procedures) will be referred to Inpatient Reception. You will be given all the information you need regarding the proposed procedure and how best fit to prepare yourself by our care team.

 

What to bring:

  • The most vital thing is the most complete and especially recent medical records. Make sure you have accompanied by someone who could represent you if you could not.
  • Current insurance information or card
  • NRIC (or) Passport (original), family registration information (copy) (for birth certificate)
  • A primary personal contact
  • Current medication (Please fill out and bring it with you for any hospital stay)
  • Items important to daily living such as dentures, eyeglasses, and hearing aids.

 

What not to bring:

  • Valuable personal items (eg. Jewelry, watches) including clothes
  • Strong odor food (eg. Durian, Dried fish)
  • Pets

 

Overview & Services

Patient Identification

For your safety, a patient identification card (which contains your name, Hospital Number, Father’s Name, and Gender) and wristband (which contains your name and HN) will be provided. Please wear the wristband at all times during your stay.

Admitting Information and Informed Consent

Upon your admission to the hospital, you and your care givers are deemed to have agreed to follow the rules and regulations. Our receptionist will explain every single content of the consent form to help you understand before you sign. Treatment and certain procedures such as surgery would require your consent in writing. Your doctor will explain these procedures when it is needed. We are pleased to provide you with the helpful information which will make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

GHIH Medical Officers and Nurses usually conduct their rounds (3 times per day) in the morning, afternoon, and evening to review patients. They are also on duty round the clock to attend to your urgent medical and nursing needs. You may seek clarification from them on any treatment, examination, procedure, or drugs given to you. You will be engaged by attending consultant(s) routinely and whenever necessary.

Nurse Call Service

All beds and toilets are fitted with a call button so that you may contact the nursing staff for assistance whenever necessary. As per our escalation system, the respective healthcare staff will respond according to your condition.

Spiritual Support

Spiritual Care helps facilitate the healing of the whole person by providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, families. Our Buddha Shrine room (4th Floor) and Prayer are always opening for prayer, meditation and quiet time.
